Shirley’s 1857 Bone & Flint Mill  ‘In Steam’ and Operating 12.30 to 16.30. See a Potters’ Mill operating as in Victorian times.

Railways of Etruria exhibition railway and memorabilia in the Canal Warehouse.  One of the first railways in the area was horse drawn tramway running from the Trent and Mersey canal at Etruria to Hanley.  When the North Staffordshire Railway Company was formed in 1845, they took over the canals. It is 100 years since the North Staffordshire Railway was taken over by the London Midland and Scottish Railway. A short film sequence of steam engines running on the extensive rail network will be shown in the canal warehouse and a 30-minute film of the Industries and Railway of Etruria in the canal check office.

Entrance to Museum and Mill Adults £7 or £10 for a guided tour of the Mill (subject to availability). Young people under 16 free when accompanied by a paying adult.
